We hear about pH levels quite a bit now in health magazines and in the news, and even in commercials when there is an advertisement about deodorants. But what does it mean? It is a measure of acidity or alkalinity from zero to fourteen. When at the bottom it is at the more acid point and on the opposite fourteen is most alkaline. As humans we are higher on the point by design, but simple things like breathing and digesting teamed up with the bad things that we put into our bodies we become lower and more prone to diseases and health complications.
The point of this diet is to match the pH level of the bloodstream, and done so by consuming foods that are 80 percent alkaline and twenty percent acid. If you are one of those who believe you are what you eat there is plenty of rules and guidelines here. It is so simple and yet so complicated. Making an extreme amount of senses because if we were to sit down and jot down a list of all the things that are not good for us ninety five percent of them will be on the foods to avoid of such diet.
Things to stay away from are consuming too much meat, fast food, sodas, coffee, cow's milk, processed foods and products containing yeast. What you are looking for here is a vegetable and fruit surrounded diet, replace everyday milk with almond, meat for fish, raw vegetables as much as you can, eat big salads as a whole meal. Just as much as reorganizing yourself and changing a lifestyle this would include daily exercise, taking deep breaths, and trying to relax, as well as thinking positively.
